_{Textile weaves are the patterns that are followed to interweave the threads of the weft with those of the warp. The project was based on an enlargement of these patterns of traditional Abruzzo fabrics and blankets.
Tradition (from the Latin traditiònem derived from tràdere = to deliver, to transmit). These artefacts were bequeathed as dowries in women's wedding trousseaus. The wedding trousseau was a primary element for daughter because it represented the initiation into a new life through marriage and the continuation of traditions. It was a part of the economic patrimony that was displayed to the public to determine the bride’s social status during the wedding festivities, and given by her family of origin to be integrated into the customs of the new household. Symbol of change, inheritance and stability. Bedsheets and blankets represent the protection and intimacy of a couple, traditions and the passing on. An interweaving of stories and experiences. Emblem of home and stability, but also of what is hidden, covered, unspoken. These elements bare the ambivalence in their meaning of household, family and certainty, but also the paradigm of passionate love hidden between lovers and of concealed secrets.}

^{Le armature tessili sono gli schemi che vengono seguiti per intrecciare i fili della trama con quelli dell’ordito. Il progetto è stato realizzato basandosi sull’ingrandimento di questi pattern di stoffe e coperte tradizionali abruzzesi.
Tradizione (dal latino traditiònem deriv. da tràdere = consegnare, trasmettere). Questi manufatti venivano lasciati in eredità come dote nei corredi delle donne.Il corredo era un elemento primario per ogni figlia femmina perché rappresentava l’iniziazione ad una nuova vita attraverso il matrimonio e il perdurare delle tradizioni. Era una parte del patrimonio economico che veniva esposto al pubblico come status sociale della sposa durante i festeggiamenti nunziali, e ceduto dalla sua famiglia d’origine per essere integrato ai costumi del nuovo nucleo famigliare. Simbolo di cambiamento, eredità e stabilità. Le lenzuola, le coperte, rappresentazione di protezione e di intimità di coppia, di tradizioni e del tramandare. Intreccio di storie e vissuti. Emblema di casa e stabilità, ma anche di ciò che viene nascosto, coperto, non detto. Questi elementi hanno insiti in sé l’ambivalenza del significato di focolare, famiglia e certezza, ma anche paradigma dell’amore passionale nascosto tra amanti e di segreti celati.}
